Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel (born on December 2 1998) is an American actress. Her performances include daytime television as well as episodic guest performances and TV-produced films. Sofer received an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her portrayal as Lois Cerullo of the soap opera General Hospital. She was Quinn Fuller's role on the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful between 2013 and 2022.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) Professor of Psychology, as well as Martin Sofer, an Orthodox rabbi.
She moved with her dad and brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. When Sofer was just five years old, they remained in Western Pennsylvania. The family was raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer was raised in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue rabbi Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School, and then went to Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Lois Marie Cerullo was Lois Marie Sofer's first character in General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as an administrator of a band. Her first TV role was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap show that revolved around Loving (1988-91).
